«Everything Everywhere All at Once» se alzó la noche del domingo 12 de marzo como la triunfadora de los Óscar al llevarse siete estatuillas, seguida de «All Quiet on the Western Front» con cuatro premios.
La película de Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert se ha llevado siete de las once estatuillas a la que optaba, incluidas las de dirección, guión original, mejor actriz y mejores actor y actriz de reparto. La película alemana «All Quiet on The Western Front», que contaba con nueve candidaturas, acabó la noche con cuatro óscares.
Mejor película
«Everything Everywhere All at Once», de los directores Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert, cumplió con los pronósticos y ganó este domingo el óscar a la mejor película en la 95 edición de los premios de la Academia de Hollywood, frente a la otra favorita, «The Fabelmans»
«No hay otra película con un reparto mejor que este. El óscar es para todos nosotros», aseguró el productor del filme, Jonathan Wang, al recoger el galardón.
Posteriormente, Daniel Kwan tomó la palabra y agradeció a la industria de Hollywood por aportarle «inspiración» durante toda su vida y servirle como «un refugio ante el caos del mundo».
El resto de filmes que se postulaban en esta categoría eran «The Fabelmans»; «All Quiet on the Western Front»; «Avatar: The Way of Water»; «The Banshees of Inisherin»; «Elvis»; «Tár»; «Top Gun: Maverick»; «Triangle of Sadness» y «Women Talking» .
Mejor actriz
La malaya de origen chino Michelle Yeoh ganó hoy el óscar a la mejor actriz por su papel en «Everything Everywhere All At Once», en su primera nominación.
«Para todos los niños y niñas pequeños que se parecen a mí y están viéndome esta noche. Este es un faro de esperanza y posibilidades», apuntó la actriz malaya al recibir el premio.
Esta es la prueba, añadió, «de que los sueños grandes se hacen realidad.
Mejor película internacional
La película alemana «All Quiet on the Western Front», de Edward Berger, recibió este domingo el óscar a mejor película internacional, frente a la cinta argentina de Santiago Mitre «Argentina, 1985»
«Quiero agradecer a mi equipo, especialmente a Felix Kammerer (el protagonista) esta es su primera película y tuvo un gran peso sobre los hombros, sin él no estaríamos aquí”, expresó Berger al recibir la estatuilla de manos de los hispanos Salma Hayek y Antonio Banderas.
Además de derrotar a los argentinos, los otros favoritos de la contienda, Berger superó a la cinta irlandesa «The Quiet Girl», de Colm Bairéad, la polaca «EO», de Jerzy Skolimowski, y a la belga «Close», de Lukas Dhont.
